Stargate vs Trading Journals.

The full comparison with TradeZella, Edgewonk and TraderSync is being finished properly. Every feature tested, every claim verified.

Stargate vs TradeZella, Edgewonk, TraderSync, Tradervue & every journal

Journals log the damage.
Stargate prevents it.

The verdict in 20 seconds

Trading journals such as TradeZella, Edgewonk, TraderSync and Tradervue record and analyse trades after you have taken them. Stargate, built by Come Learn Forex (CLF), screens every setup before you place it: it already understands 23 trading strategies and checks your risk, session, framework and discipline pre-trade, issuing violations and warnings in the moment. Journals are excellent historians. If records are all you need, they are enough. If you want the mistake stopped before it costs you, that is a different generation of tool.

How we compared: each platform's published pricing and feature pages, verified 4 July 2026. We credit what each does well. Spot an error? Tell us and we will correct it.

What prevention looks like

The honest bit

When a journal is genuinely all you need.

You only want recordsA journal does that perfectly. Tradervue even has a free tier.
You never break your own rulesThen enforcement adds nothing. Most traders believe this; the data disagrees.
You need broker auto-sync at scaleJournals lead on integrations. TraderSync's coverage is genuinely wide.
Budget is the constraintEdgewonk and the free tiers are honest value for pure logging.
Where every journal stops: the seconds between spotting a setup and clicking buy. That is where accounts are lost, and no journal, AI or otherwise, can reach it. It is the only moment Stargate was built for.
Switching

Switching costs nothing but the habit.

The Trade Analyser logs every planned trade automatically, so the journal you have been writing by hand starts writing itself. Keep the old one alongside if you like.

Questions

The obvious questions.

No, it contains one. Stargate has three tools: the Trade Planner screens setups before you take them, the Trade Analyser logs every planned trade automatically, and Trade Analysis reviews your performance and discipline over time. The Analyser and Analysis are what journals sell. The Planner is the part they do not have.
Yes. Nothing conflicts. Plenty of traders keep an existing journal running while they plan through Stargate. Most find the Analyser makes the manual journal redundant within a month, but that is your call to make, not ours.
Because the expensive mistakes, oversized risk, revenge trades, trading dead sessions, are decided in the seconds before entry. A journal can only tell you about them afterwards, and by then the money is gone. Screening the setup first means the lesson costs nothing.
£120 covers the two-day Level 2 training, the assessed exam and your accredited certificate. Stargate access comes bundled, which unlocks a 30-day trial of the platform plus two live webinars a week. The entire platform is then free throughout the four months of the Level 3 mentorship. After Level 3, continued access is an optional subscription confirmed before your mentorship ends. There is no journal-style standalone monthly fee to start.
For record-keeping and pattern awareness, yes, and we would rather you used one than nothing. What no journal can do is enforce anything. Improvement needs the record, the education and the intervention together, which is why Stargate ships attached to accredited qualifications rather than as a standalone logger.

Stop reading about your mistakes.
Start preventing them.
