Not a hotel conference room

A day on the floor.

CLF Trading Floor · London · training day one
09:00 — Doors open. Screens are already running the London session. You take a desk, not a seat in a row.
09:30 — Module 01, taught against a live market. How the currency market actually works — demonstrated on GBP/USD moving in real time, not last month’s screenshots.
11:45 — The Currency Index, live. The frameworks from the syllabus applied to the morning’s actual data. Questions answered at the desk, as they occur to you.
14:30 — Risk, before anything else. Why most retail traders lose — taught by people whose job depends on not being most retail traders.
Day two ends with the exam window opening. Thirty questions, 70% to pass, externally moderated — and a certificate through TQUK, not a wall photo with a lanyard.

Why the room matters

Some things don’t survive a webinar.

Live markets, live questions

The London session is on the screens while you learn. When price does something the syllabus just described, you see it happen — and ask about it there and then.

Small rooms, real desks

Cohort sizes are limited by the floor itself. Nobody teaches forty people at a trading desk; that is rather the point of having one.

The people, not the persona

You are taught by CLF traders in person — the same people whose weekly outlooks are published, date-stamped, in the free forecasts community.

The curriculum

Fourteen modules. Then an exam.

The London course delivers the full accredited Level 2 Qualification in Retail Trading: market mechanics, balance and imbalance, the Currency Index, Average Price Movement, risk management and a written trading plan — assessed by a 30-question exam and certificated through TQUK, an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation. It is a forex education with a pass mark, not a seminar with a workbook.

Getting to the floor

One address. Easy to reach.

By rail

Rainham station is the nearest link — c2c services from Fenchurch Street run in around 25 minutes.

By car

On-site parking is available, and the A13 puts the floor within easy reach of the M25.

Questions, answered straight

London course FAQs.

Where in London is the trading floor?
Unit 6, Innovation Business Centre, Consul Avenue, Segro Park, London RM13 8HZ. Rainham station (c2c from Fenchurch Street, about 25 minutes) is the nearest rail link, and there is parking on site.
How much does the London course cost?
£120 all-in for the Level 2 route: both in-person training days, the 30-question assessed exam and your certificate through TQUK, an Ofqual-regulated awarding organisation. No upsell hidden behind day two.
Is it suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. Level 2 is designed as a first qualification. The syllabus starts with how the currency market actually works and explains its reasoning in plain language. Many attendees have never placed a trade.
When do London courses run?
Cohorts run across two consecutive training days, with dates released on the Level 2 page. Seats are limited by the size of the floor, which is the point of teaching on one.
What if I can't get to London?
The same course runs live online: identical syllabus, exam and certificate, taught by the same traders. In-person simply adds the floor — live markets on the screens and questions answered at the desk.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes. The Level 2 Qualification in Retail Trading is examined (30 questions, 70% pass mark), externally moderated, and certificated through TQUK. It is a qualification, not a certificate of attendance.
